WLAN on the fair ground

For the first time, Messe Frankfurt is offering all its exhibitors free access to the WLAN everywhere on the exhibition site.

This is suitable for looking at websites and occasionally checking and sending e-mails.

Please note the following:

To make use of this, you will need a device fitted with a WLAN card set to the common worldwide standard IEEE 802.11b/g.

Internet WLAN access is also possible with mobile devices such as iPhone, Blackberry, etc. In order to use free WLAN you need an internet compatible mobile phone. The bandwidth is 1Mbit/sec per user. Depending on the hall capacity the bandwidth might be lower.

The set-up of exhibitors' own WLAN networks can significantly interfere with reception.

It may not always be possible to guarantee blanket reception in the event of high levels of user activity.
